  • 1. How far in advance should I book speakers?

    To ensure appropriate time for processing, all requests should be received at least three months in advance of a scheduled meeting, conference or event. CEO speaking requests should be received at least six months in advance of the scheduled speaking engagement. A representative from the Speakers Bureau will be in touch with you regarding your request within seven to 10 business days of your request submission.

  • 2. Can I request a specific speaker?

    Yes, you can request a specific speaker, but final selection is contingent on the Speaker’s availability. The Bureau will always offer an alternative speaker if the Speaker requested is unavailable.

  • 3. How long is the typical presentation?

    Most presentations are forty-five minutes or longer. Please ensure that the speaker has at least one hour for his or her presentation (45-50 minutes to present the material and 10-15 minutes for questions and answers).

  • 4. Can I earn credits by attending speaker presentations?

    The speakers bureau presentations have been pre-approved for one SHRM Professional Development Credit (PDC) for those recertifying their SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP credentials. Preferred Providers can apply for this credit by entering in the details about the event, including the title of the presentation, in their online Certification Provider Account. Once your event details have been entered into your account, you will automatically receive an Activity ID number you can share with your participants so they can claim the PDCs as part of their recertification efforts.
