Biography

As a professional speaker on the science of happiness, Amy Blankson became fascinated with the intersection of happiness and technology.  In the process of writing her best-selling book The Future of Happiness, Amy tested more than 500 gadgets, apps, and devices to explore whether technology can actually make humans happier. Along the way, she learned that devices are not responsible for our happiness; rather, we are.

To find the sweet spot for flourishing in the digital era, we must learn how to give intention to our attention. As co-founder and CEO of the Digital Wellness Institute, Amy uses humor and candor to empower audiences to reclaim their time and attention, balancing our time online and offline while restoring our sense of human agency to choose the type of digital culture we want to create.

A graduate of Harvard and the Yale School of Management, Amy is the only person to receive a Point of Light award from two US Presidents. She is also a member of the UN Global Happiness Council, a Fellow of the World Innovation Organization, a featured professor in Oprah’s happiness e-course, and a regular contributor to Forbes.
