Biography

Art Gloria is a highly accomplished human resources, finance, and general business management professional, with a wealth of experience spanning the government, healthcare, and diverse private business industries. As the Divisional Director, West for SHRM, Art is responsible for member acquisition and retention, leadership development for volunteer leaders, chapters, and state councils, and creating a value-added proposition for SHRM for the western region of the United States and U.S. Territories. He is deeply committed to creating better workplaces for all, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Art is an award-winning leader with extensive experience in volunteer leadership, having held various board leadership roles with local and state SHRM chapters. He also serves on various non-profit boards in the Paso del Norte Region and is a passionate advocate for creating a better world through ethical leadership and humanistic values. As an Aspen Institute Fellow Scholar, Art continues to drive social change and foster a positive impact on society.

In addition to his vast experience, Art holds the SHRM-Certified Professional (CP) designation, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in HR. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Regents University London and earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at El Paso, where he also served as Student Body President and University of Texas System Student Advisory Council member.
