Biography
As a keynote speaker, Shannon brings stories from her personal leadership journey to the forefront, connecting her real-life experiences and work with leaders globally to key leadership concepts designed to help participants reflect on their own journey and take control of their path forward. After facilitating small-group Learning Teams and Maser Classes for 10 years at Linkage’s Women in Leadership InstituteTM, Shannon will take the main stage as a keynote speaker in 2021, where she will share her story of how she identified her Inner Critic, one of the hurdles women face to advancement, and her continuing journey to coaching her Inner Critic.
Shannon also serves in a client-facing capacity as Principal Consultant, where she brings 10+ years of facilitation experience. She is highly regarded as a top-notch facilitator who is ready to respectfully challenge the status quo and take leaders to the next level. Shannon brings an in-depth expertise and a passion for designing and implementing programs focused on advancing women in leadership— and empowering each leader with the knowledge they need to transform how they show up in their role and drive change in their organization.
Shannon has led strategic engagements across a variety of industries, ranging from government to financial services, healthcare, insurance, and consumer products and goods. A partial list of her clients includes Synchrony, Olympus, International Energy Associates, Constellation Brands, KARL STORZ, Yale University, McKesson and Loomis Sayles.
Prior to joining Linkage, Shannon was a Scientific Recruiter for Kforce and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. At Dana-Farber, she coordinated the training and career development of Dana-Farber’s postdoctoral researchers, while attending law school at night. With a minor in international law and background in human resources, she started her own law practice and successfully grew her business using alternative and innovative methods in a challenging economic environment.
Shannon volunteers with a nonprofit, 5050WOB, which is focused on getting more women in the boardroom. She also works at the other end of the spectrum by mentoring new non-traditional women graduates through Pass the Torch.
Shannon holds a BS in animal science from the University of Vermont and a JD in international law from Suffolk University.
Shannon was a rower in college and still loves to get on the water when she can. She spends time outdoors and will travel for a good hike or beach day with her dog and son, Max. Currently, Shannon resides in the greater Indianapolis, IN, area of the US after living in New England for over 25 years.
