Victoria Mattingly, PhD (Dr. V) is an esteemed speaker, business owner, author, strategist, researcher, and professor in the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) field. Dr. V is focused on bringing more scientific rigor to the DEI space, enabling organizations to better track and assess progress toward reaching their goals. She’s an inclusion and allyship expert, equipping employees and leaders with the skills and behaviors needed to build more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces.
Dr. V earned her PhD in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology from Colorado State University, specializing in the science of workplace behavior change interventions. She co-authored (alongside with her business partner, Sertrice Grice) the book, Inclusalytics: How Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leaders Use Data to Drive Their Work: https://www.amazon.com/Inclusalytics-Diversity-Equity-Inclusion-Leaders/dp/B09WQB2MDD
As an organizational psychologist, she turns otherwise abstract concepts like inclusion and allyship into quantifiable metrics. Her life mission is to use organizational science to improve the human experience at work, especially for underrepresented and historically excluded groups while also engaging allies and equipping them with tools to leverage their privilege and status for good. A leader within the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Dr. V currently hosts the SIOP Conversation Series livestream podcast: https://www.siop.org/Research-Publications/Conversation-Series
Dr. V is founder and CEO of Mattingly Solutions, a women-owned, women-led workplace inclusion consulting firm. Dr. V founded Mattingly Solutions on the belief that DEI training alone is never enough to make a real impact on DEI outcomes. DEI done right is embedded in the fabric of a company’s culture, its overall strategy, and considered in every business decision—at all levels of the organization. Dr. V and her team work with a variety of organizations from startups and nonprofits to Fortune 500 global organizations to build data-driven roadmaps and custom behavior change programs that meet the organization’s unique DEI needs. Before starting Mattingly Solutions, Dr. V worked as a DEI and L&D external consultant at DDI and Mind Gym, building products that are still being sold and implemented today. She also worked on Amazon’s talent assessment team, building innovative training solutions for more inclusive hiring programs.
